Dear Parents,
Thank you for your interest in having your child considered for enrollment as a role model in the Bluestem Early Childhood Special Education classroom. Butler County school districts are committed to the growth of early childhood special education students. A part of this growth process is supported by the inclusion of role model students in the early childhood classrooms. If you have any questions please contact the school at 316-742-3291. Please see the guidelines for selection of role model students below.

· An application must be completed and turned in by March 1st 2017 to the Bluestem Elementary School. Applications can be picked up at the BES office.
· Your child must attend a screening and trial session in the classroom in March (date to be determined) at Bluestem Elementary. Role model students shall demonstrate behaviors of “normal” developmental milestones.
· Role model students displaying severe and extreme behavior problems may be dismissed upon building team recommendation.
· Children must be 4 years of age on or before September 1st of the current school year.
· Role models are selected on a random basis.
